1One master manual, many markets
Every new market adds a translated manual, a distributor with its own questions and customers who may not read the language on the box. Each copy is another chance for steps, warnings and part names to drift apart.
A video guide built from your master manual keeps the same steps and warnings in every language. Importers and distributors get a finished guide in their language instead of making their own.
2What we deliver
- A Quick Start (60–90 seconds) or a Full Guide with chapters (4–10 minutes).
- Voice, on-screen text and captions in 20+ languages, from one approved master script.
- The safety notes from your manual, in every language.
- Wide and vertical versions, plus subtitle files.
- A QR video manual page per product that opens in the phone's language, with chapters, FAQs, spare-part links and scan reports by country.
3How a localized guide is made
- Master script We write the script from your master manual. Your engineering or compliance team approves every step and warning.
- Translation On-screen text and voice lines are translated from the approved script, using the part names from your localized manuals where you have them.
- Animation and voice The first draft in the master language arrives about 5 business days after script approval, followed by the other languages.
- Delivery Video and subtitle files per language, and a print-ready QR code for the box, the manual or the product.
4Digital instructions in the EU: what the rules say
The EU General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988, which applies from December 13, 2024, requires manufacturers to ensure their product comes with clear instructions and safety information in a language consumers can easily understand, as determined by the member state where it is sold, unless the product can be used safely and as intended without them. Online offers must also show warnings and safety information in that language.
The Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 applies from January 20, 2027. It allows instructions for use in digital format if the product, its packaging or an accompanying document says how to access them, users can download and print them, and they stay online for the product's expected lifetime and at least 10 years. Buyers can still ask for paper instructions free of charge at the time of purchase, and for machinery that non-professional users may use, the safety information essential for putting it into service and using it safely must be on paper.
A video does not replace the instructions the law requires; it sits next to them and helps people follow them. This is general information, not legal advice. More detail in our guide to the EU 2027 rules.
5A QR code instead of a reprint
A QR video manual gives each product one code that opens the guide in the phone's language. You can update a video or add a language without reprinting packaging, and you see scans by country. It costs $19 per product per month or $190 per year, and the first year is free with any guide.
6Prices
Quick Start: $490 with 3 languages, plus $49 per extra language. Full Guide: $1,490 with 3 languages, plus $99 per extra language. For several products, send the list and we'll reply with a fixed quote based on these prices; see all prices.
Questions
Can a video replace the printed manual?
Not on its own. The EU Machinery Regulation allows digital instructions under conditions, but they must be printable, and some safety information must still be on paper for machinery that non-professional users may use. Use the video next to the instructions the law requires.
Which languages can you deliver?
20+ languages for voice and on-screen text, including Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish, Arabic, Chinese and Japanese, and more on request.
Who checks the translations?
Everything is translated from your approved master script, and you or your local partners can review each language before final delivery.
Do you need CAD files?
They help but aren't required. Manual pages, product photos and close-ups of the controls are enough to draw the product accurately.
Are the videos made with AI?
The voices are ElevenLabs voices, chosen per language, with a human voice actor on request. The scenes are designed and animated from your manual, with no AI avatars and no stock footage.
