1Setup is a video type Amazon asks for
When you upload a video in Seller Central, Amazon asks you to choose a video type, and How-to, Setup and Troubleshooting sit on that list next to Product overview and Unboxing. Amazon's shoppable video guide suggests informative videos such as product assemblies, unboxings and how-to guides, and the upload page can show video recommendations for the goal of reducing returns.
Returns are a real cost in ecommerce: an estimated 19.3% of online sales were expected to come back in 2025, across all categories (NRF and Happy Returns). A video that shows the setup sets expectations before the order and helps after delivery.
2What you get for your listing
- A 60–90 second setup or how-to video made from your manual.
- A wide version for the listing and A+ content, and a vertical version for social media and your own store.
- On-screen text and captions, so the video works with the sound off, as Amazon's tips recommend.
- Voice and on-screen text in each marketplace's language: Spanish for Amazon.es and Amazon.com.mx, German for Amazon.de, Japanese for Amazon.co.jp, and more.
- Optional Clip Pack: 6 vertical clips for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
3Written to pass Amazon's review
Amazon reviews every video before it appears. Its shoppable video content guidelines say videos must not contain prices, promotions, discount claims or time-sensitive information, must not ask viewers to leave positive reviews and must not show phone numbers or addresses. Warranty mentions are limited to the manufacturer's own warranty.
We write each script with those rules in mind and keep every claim to what your manual and listing support, and you approve every line before animation. For details, read our guide to Amazon's video rules. Rules change, so check Amazon's current pages before you upload. This is general information, not legal advice.
4How it works
- Send the listing and the manual Share your product link, the manual and the marketplaces you sell in.
- Approve the script We write the steps, the on-screen text and the voice lines. Nothing is animated until you approve them.
- Animation and voice The first draft arrives about 5 business days after script approval, with two rounds of changes included.
- Upload-ready files Video files for each language, plus captions. Amazon's seller guide lists .mov or .mp4 files up to 1080p and 5 GB.
5One guide for every store
Amazon says the same shoppable video can be used across related listings and across its stores in other countries. We add the language versions, so each store plays the guide in its own language.
The files work outside Amazon too: on your Shopify product page, in your help center and behind a QR video manual on the box. For other marketplaces, tell us where the video will run and we'll check that platform's current video rules.
6Prices
A Quick Start setup video costs $490 with 3 languages included, plus $49 per extra language. A Clip Pack of 6 vertical clips costs $290. The QR video manual is free for the first year with any guide; see all prices.
Founding clients get 40% off their first project in exchange for honest feedback and permission to show the work in our portfolio.
Questions
What are Amazon's product video requirements?
Amazon's seller guide for shoppable videos lists .mov or .mp4 files, up to 1080p and up to 5 GB, and says approved videos typically appear within three days. We deliver files to fit; check Seller Central for the current specs before uploading.
Can I add a video to my Amazon listing without Brand Registry?
According to Amazon's seller guide, shoppable videos are open to sellers with a Professional account, at least three months of selling history and live listings, with or without Brand Registry. A+ Content videos need Brand Registry or a Professional account with generic products.
Will a setup video reduce my returns?
It helps buyers set up the product correctly and know what to expect before they order. We can't promise a specific return rate, and we don't claim one.
Can you make Amazon videos in other languages?
Yes. Three languages are included, and each extra language is $49 for a Quick Start. Voice and on-screen text are translated, not just subtitled.
Do you use AI avatars or stock footage?
No. Every scene is designed animation of your own product, with a natural voice in each language.
